Product Spotlight: F1554 Grade 55 Threaded Rod

F1554 Grade 55 Threaded Rod is manufactured from high strength, low alloy, 55 ksi yield strength steel.

The F1554 Specification is designed to cover Threaded Rods, Studs, or Anchor Bolts that will be used as structural supports in concrete foundations.

F1554 has three grades which are 36, 55, and 105. The different grades designate the minimum yield strength of the rod.

Grade 55 is a weldable grade and can be substituted for Grade 36.

The ends of the rods are color coded (Blue for Grade 36, Yellow for Grade 55, and Red for Grade 105) for easy identification.

We stock these plain steel and hot galvanized F1554 GRADE 55 Threaded Rods in 6 foot and 12 foot lengths. Other configurations are also available in various lengths as fully threaded studs, single end studs and double end studs.

These rods are manufactured from medium carbon alloy steel that has been quenched and tempered (heat treated) to develop the desired mechanical values. This is the highest strength version of the F1554 Specification, with a minimum yield strength of 105 ksi, covering rods and anchor bolts in diameters ranging from 1/2″ through 3″.
Allied Bolt and Screw also stocks the A563 Heavy Hex Nuts and F436 Flat Washers to accompany the threaded rod and studs.
