BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Animal Rescue League of Boston is celebrating a construction milestone at its new, rebuilt, state-of-the-art facility.
On Tuesday, Apr. 28, construction teams are adding the final steel beam to the building that is going to be ARL’s future home in the city of Boston.
City and state elected officials, and ARL supporters are joining ARL President & CEO Dr. Edward Schettino at the site on Chandler Street.
Guests will be signing the final steel beam before it is put into place.
Construction on the facility began in June 2025, and phase one is expected to be completed in Spring 2027.
The location will feature an animal care and adoption center, dog training center, expanded shelter and veterinary hospital, as well as increased capacity for Boston Veterinary Care, ARL’s outpatient clinic, where 100% of proceeds are reinvested to support animals in need.
